I don't think you can really compare the two. Payton was there to answer questions after. LeBron was nowhere to be found. Also, I believe him about all the confusion and hullabaloo going on on the field. What I don't let him have a pass on was his open frustration and, at times, outright contempt displayed towards his teamates who failed to make certain plays like the missed fieldgoal. That was bush, IMO.

Yeah, I agree. I suspect the media is afraid to take him to task, much the same way they reserve for LeBron, Garnett, and some others.
I've never really liked Manning, Peyton that is, cause he's seemed to me to be a phony all the way back to Tennessee days.
