This group is to promote usage of the grails framework in Ireland. Grails did for Java, what Rails did for Ruby with some helpfull modifications. It is so quick and easy to develop a Grails application. It is based on the Groovy programming language which is a scripting language based on the Java programming language. So for those Java developers who have never tried to create web applications, or those of you who would like to produce fast reliable web applications in a language (Java) that is their forte, then grails is the framework that will satisfy your requirements.
