If it was sent to you, thoue n yshold have kept a copy of it in case you
ever needed to install it again. If you did not - that is your bad. You
will now need to request/acquire it again (unless - as is possible - it
became a part of some service pack later, etc.)
What was the article number (KB######) associated with the update/patch MS

How do i reinstall an old microsoift update that was specifically supplied to
me.
I removed it from my (add/remove) programmes list and now need it back on my
computer.It was sent to me by MS when i had different email address and i.p
address/isp.It is not listed as an update from MS'S website and never has

Just verifying that %SYSTEMROOT% is just a variable that is typically
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (or C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 for Win2K.)
Finally, if the software is not installed, the update should fail

Hi,
My problem is, after i tried to install Tiger Milk Mac Transformation
pack,
nothing is loaded except the blank desktop. No explorer, no icons, no
start menu bar etc..
so i tried to uninstall it and the problem still remained.
i have no system restore point. I already tried repair window and
nothing worked out.

This definitely worked for me!
However, my problem wasn't with Outlook, it was with Excell....either
way, you can search above in this same page the KB number, and find the
update that you need.

Thank you very much. In services.msc the auto updates was not running. I
set that to automatic, and I was able to get my new updates.
Apparently this auto updates in services is different than the option to
have Windows get updates automatically (the one if the Control panel).

1. Download the Norton Removal Tool, saving it to your desktop:

I'm running Windows XP SP3 on a laptop that has restrictive group policies.
I managed to hack the registry to enable the group policy editor and set it
to allow access to Windows Update. I used this to install SP3 (it was on
SP2) and Dot Net 3.5, but now I can't get get the Update web page to display.
