yeah wear latex gloves, neoprene if you can get them and an
apron ,face mask and goggles,NO such thing as being too safe,green
whatever ya want to call it.and make sure to clean up well with lots
of soapy water ,never use a shop vac to clean up spills.
My bottle just has the hazmat lable and Nitrocellulose lacuer ,25% on

That's pretty funny, and sadly, I know dozens of individuals who would
likely make the same mistake. Luckily, they don't have access to
significant quantities of explosives or pyrotechnic chemicals.

yes it says "stringed instrument N.L." I've done the ping pong ball
thing, it works but it's not very elegant, not a lot of zen melting
ping pong balls. so perhaps I'll try the smokeless powder route.
BTW, this is the first time using red lead for dragon eggs, any sage
advise? I know not to eat the stuff, but any other safety tips are

a gallon of NL last year ,that I've used and he got it from a Violin
maker,and this stuff worked fine,BUT mine was evaporated about a 1/3
way down and I thinned it out a bit,It was like syrup

Should I take it, then, that the shells are spheric? Because if
they're cylindric, it's easy to make a lift "cup" (more of a bag,
really, in that case) attached to the shell.

stars with red lead? It is much cheaper than "pyro" N.L. I can get
a gallon of N.L. for 45 bucks as apposed to 15 bucks for 8 oz of pyro
grade. dan

as a beginer I just wanted to say
the katsup cups worked great for me
except they tend to stay in the gun and need to be fished out
